It will introduce you to sketching metals with markers. We will start from learning about how the chains are constructed and as a result of the masterclass you will be able to sketch metal chains in colour!

Iryna Vasilenko
Iryna Vasilenko Jewelry designer and illustrator
Iryna is a graduate of the Richemont Creative Academy in Milan and had an internship at the Cartier jewelry house in Paris. Also, Irina graduated from the architectural faculty of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. It was with architecture that her passion for sketching began more than 10 years ago and continued in fashion and jewelry. Now Irina works with companies all around the world, and she is also an illustrator of the Ukrainian Fashion Week. Some of her favorite techniques are watercolor and alcohol markers. Irina's sketches are vivid, lively, and elegant.

step by step we guide you to your effortless illustration with markers!
- Introduction to working with sketching markersWe are starting the masterclass with a guidance on how to work with markers. You will learn the main techniques, that we will use in sketching metals.
- Constructing chainsWe will learn how to analyze the proportions of objects and make sketches as well we review the construction of different chains.
- Depicting metals with markersUnderstanding of light is a key while depicting 3D objects. We will learn the main principle and how objects interact with a light source. We'll get acquainted with the techniques of depicting white, yellow gold with markers.

- graphite pencil for sketching
- brown/yellow/ochre pencil
- set of Copic or Promarker markers for white gold : Cool grey 1, cool grey 3, cool grey 5
- set of Promarker markers for yellow gold : Buttercup, pastel yellow, raw sienna.
